Katie Zmed has been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Rhode Island since 2017. She is certified in Ayurvedic Bodywork, Cupping Therapy, and Reiki Level II. She has completed three levels of training in Craniosacral Therapy and continues her studies with the Upledger Institute. Katie received her massage therapy and Ayurvedic training at The Newport Massage School at SAMA (Sacred Stone Academy of Massage and Ayurveda). For 5 years, she worked as a massage therapist at Living Chi Massage & Wellness in Warwick, RI. Her practice is now located at the Gateway Plaza in Warwick.
Previous to this career, Katie spent 12 years working in International Education, advising international students at Johnson & Wales University, Providence, RI. She holds a BA in International Studies from DePaul University, and a MA in Central and East European Studies from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She is originally from the Chicago area. Her husband, Justin, runs an RI adult soccer league: wefasoccer.com. They have 3 amazing children, 2 cats, and a fantastic backyard of adventure!
